24/11/2015: New hPAGE Video Available:

The Trust has uploaded a new training video, demonstrating how to use a horizontal polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (hPAGE) system which has been developed in collaboration with Cleaver Scientific (www.cleaverscientific.com). The video can be viewed by clicking here.

15/10/2015: Congratulations to Dr Mutsa Takundwa:

Dr Mutsa Takundwa, who the Trust support through her PhD studies has now graduated from the University of Namibia. Her thesis title was "Molecular marker assisted selection (MAS) of marama bean (Tylosema esculentum (Burchell) Schreiber) for desirable agronomic traits". Mutsa has shared with us a clip of a TV news programme which can be viewed by clicking here.
Mutsa has become the youngest recipient of a doctorate in science from the University of Namibia.

15/10/2015: New Dolichos (lablab purpureus) Varieties Released:

Dolichos breeder, Professor Miriam Kinyua, University of Eldoret, released four new varieties on 4th February 2015. Seed production has begun and ELDO-KT Black 1 and 2, ELDO-KT maridadi and ELDO-KT cream will soon be available for farmers to buy.

14/10/2015: New Training Grants & Insurance Pages:

New information regarding training grants and travel / medical insurance has been added to the website. Potential grantees are encouraged to read this information before contacting the Trust.

27/08/2015: New Laboratory Protocols Released:

The Trust has released an electronic copy of its laboratory protocols. Please visit this page for further information.
Existing projects that the Trust funds may already have hard copies of these protocols – they are provided in a black, ring bound folder.

21/08/2015: New Glossary Page, ABC Projects & Orphan Legumes Projects Added:

The Trust has added a new "Glossary of Terminology & Acronyms" page, full of terms and acronyms commonly used in molecular biology and plant breeding.
Two new ABC projects (SARI and RAB), and one new Orphan Legumes project (ICRISAT) have been added to the list of projects being funded by the Trust. Please view this page for further information.

Furthermore, please note that The Trust has now closed the conference attendance grant scheme to applicants without an existing funding relationship with the Trust. Please view this page for further information.
