• Report on three year breeding programme of dolichos (Lablab purpureus). Produced by Dr M. Byre Gowda, Dr G. Girish, S. C. Venkatesha, & Jagadesh Babu.
• End of 2nd year report on dolichos (Lablab purpureus) April 2010 - March 2011. Produced by Dr M. Byre Gowda.

Research Associated With Training Grants:

• Selvaraj, M. Narayana, M. Schubert, A. Ayers, J. Baring, M. & Burow, M. (2009). Identification of QTLs for pod and kernel traits in cultivated peanut by bulked segregant analysis. Electronic Journal of Biotechnology. 12(2): The Trust funded research carried out by Dr Manivannan Narayana who went on to publish this article. Since this paper was published, Dr Narayana has continued the marker assisted programme in peanut. He has set up a small lab and established an artificial screening technique for foliar diseases in peanut.
• Venkatesha, S. Gowda, M. Mahadevu, P. Rao, A. Kim, D. Ellis, T. & Knox, M. (2007). Genetic diversity within Lablab purpureus and the application of gene-specific markers from a range of legume species. Plant Genetic Resources: Characterization and Utilization. 5(3) 154-171: The Trust provided a PhD scholarship to Mr Venkatesha S C, a co-author of this paper. The document provided on this site is an abstract of the paper, due to copyright restrictions.
• Arunga, E. Van Rheenen, H. & Owuoche, J. (2010). Diallel analysis of Snap bean (Phaseolus vulgaris I.) varieties for important traits. African Journal of Agricultural Research. 5(15) 1951-1957. The Trust funded both an MSc and a PhD for Edith Esther Arunga. This paper was generated as part of her MSc work.
