KT Alumni
As part of the vision of The Kirkhouse Trust (KT), the charity supports capacity building at all levels in conjunction with the molecular breeding research. This includes the training of the next generation of future crop breeding researchers in the form of MSc and PhD students. A few of these students have gone on to receive further long-term funding from the charity. Dr Yayis Rezene (Ethiopia) and Dr Esther Arunga (Kenya) are examples of recipients of KT’s long term commitment.
To date, KT has supported 61 MSc and 52 PhD Scholarships with further new students being supported in the current funding portfolio.
